How to set up user profile in HubSpot

This guide will cover how to set up your profile, connect your calendar, download the HubSpot extension, and manage notifications.

Access Your User Profile

  1. Log into HubSpot: Start by logging into your HubSpot account.
  2. Navigate to Your Profile: Click on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner of the dashboard, then select Profile & Preferences from the dropdown menu.

Edit Your Profile Information

  1. Update Personal Information:
    • In the Profile tab, you can edit your name, email address, and other personal details.
    • Optionally, upload a profile picture to enhance identification within your team.
  2. Set Time Zone and Language:
    • Scroll down to configure your time zone and preferred language settings to ensure accurate scheduling and communication.
  3. Save Changes: After making any updates, ensure you click Save at the bottom of the page.

Connect Your Calendar

Connecting your calendar (Google Calendar or Outlook) allows seamless scheduling of meetings directly from HubSpot.
  1. Navigate to Calendar Settings:
    • In the left sidebar, go to Settings > General > Calendar.
  2. Connect Your Calendar:
    • Click on Connect your calendar.
    • Choose either Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar based on your preference.
    • Follow the prompts to sign in to your calendar account and grant necessary permissions.
  3. Confirm Connection: Once connected, you will receive a confirmation message indicating that your calendar is now synced with HubSpot.

Download the HubSpot Extension

To enhance functionality and access HubSpot features directly from your browser:
  1. Access the HubSpot Marketplace:
    • Click on the Marketplace icon (a grid or square icon) in the main navigation bar.
  2. Search for Extensions:
    • In the App Marketplace, search for "HubSpot Sales" or "HubSpot CRM" extensions based on your needs.
  3. Download and Install:
    • Select the appropriate extension and follow the installation instructions for your browser (available for Chrome and other browsers).
    • Once installed, you may need to log in to connect it with your HubSpot account.

Manage Notifications

To stay updated without being overwhelmed by alerts:
  1. Navigate to Notification Settings:
    • In your profile settings, find the section labeled Notifications.
  2. Customize Notification Preferences:
    • Adjust settings for email notifications, in-app alerts, and specific types of updates (e.g., new leads, ticket updates).
    • You can choose which notifications you want to receive based on your role and responsibilities.
  3. Save Changes: Ensure all adjustments are saved before exiting the settings page.
